Problem:

A three-week school project creating an interactive Squid Game storytelling website. As first-time Figma users, we designed a first-person experience, immersing players in the show’s survival and inequality themes through engaging narratives and animations.

Solution:

We transformed Squid Game into an interactive web experience. Designed in Figma, it immerses users in a first-person perspective, recreating the games digitally while maintaining their high-stakes drama and social commentary.

For our research on the show, we re-watched episodes, reviewed interviews, analyzed show breakdowns, and explored related content such as fan art and games. During this process, one particular quote stood out to us, capturing the essence of the twisted games. Inspired by this, we decided to build the story and visuals around the quote.

This project was a rewarding experience that taught me valuable skills, including using Figma’s features, time management, and communication. Overcoming prototyping challenges and time constraints taught me adaptability and prioritization. Most importantly, I gained new insight into teamwork balancing individual contributions with group cohesion and leveraging each member's strengths. These lessons will guide me in creating more cohesive designs and fostering strong collaboration in future projects.
